Access the changemaker profile for Shanna Jaggars here. Shanna is Assistant Vice Provost in the Office of Academic Affairs and manages the Student Success Research Lab at The Ohio State University, a member of the American Talent Initiative.
As part of our new "Changemaker Profile" series, we are connecting with main points of contact across the membership to learn how they advance ATI goals in their work and what their institutions are doing to advance the aspirational commitments they made through the Accelerating Opportunity campaign.
We are beginning this series by interviewing the Main Point of Contact Advisory Committee members, a diverse group of MPOCs providing strategic input and counsel on how ATI staff can best support their ATI-related work. For one of our inaugural two interviews (see here for our other interview with David Johnson at Indiana University Bloomington), we connected with Shanna to learn about the strategies she has identified to support student success at the Student Success Research Lab, including through community college transfer, the bold financial commitments the institution has made to increase affordability, and her recommendations for how her peers in the membership can best engage with ATI.
